The Profile Permissions setting allows you to create customized profiles to access specific functions in the Zenvia Chat Admin panel.
Such as a Supervisor profile, which can have access to the dashboard and reports, but does not have permission to configure channels, for example.
To add a new profile, go to in the Zenvia Chat - Administrator profile > Service > Profile Permissions.
The main screen shows the list of previously configured profiles and the button for adding new profiles. If no profile has yet been added, the list will be empty.
Adding a new profile
Click on the + button and, on the configuration screen, choose a name for the new profile and select which function menus it will have access to. Each permission corresponds to one or more options in the Zenvia Chat Admin menu. Remember that, at least one permission must be selected or the profile will not be saved.
⚠️Attention:Even if a new profile is given access to the Service menu, it will not see the Agent Profile option. Only Administrator profiles will have access to this functionality.
Agent configuration with the new profile
Once the profile has been created, it can be associated with an Agent in Service/Agents. When you create a new Agent or edit an existing one, the new profile will be available in the profile list.
💡 Tip: A new Agent profile can be associated with several Agents.
In the example shown above, the operation can have Agents with an Attendant, Administrator or Supervisor profile.
⚠️Attention:It is not possible to delete an agent. Only inactivate it.
Access to Zenvia Chat's Customer Service and Admin panels
When accessing the Customer Service interface, a new profile will have the same privileges as a conventional Agent, but will be presented with the Admin button, which will give them access to the Zenvia Chat Administration interface.
This is the only way for a new Agent Profile to access the Administration interface. Direct access via the link https://zchat-admin.zenvia.com/login remains available only to Administrator profiles. The Admin button on the service panel is also available to Administrator profiles.
Segmentation of options in the Agent Profile
This feature currently offers permission options by grouping functionalities.
We are segmenting the options to allow greater granularity in the agent profile.
It is now possible for a user to have permission to only one specific functionality within the Service menu, for example.
Remember that for existing profiles, they will continue to have their existing permissions. For example, the fictitious Supervisor profile only has permission to Dashboard and Reports. Now with the new functionality, this profile will continue to have permission only to the functionalities of these groupings.
If he wants to segment the permission, and for example give permissions only to Dashboard and only to Service History within Reports, he can do so by selecting only those items and saving his new permission, and from that moment on all the other functionalities will no longer be visible.
In other words, existing profiles continue to have unsegmented permission behavior; if they are edited, they will start to follow the new segmented permission rules.
That´s it! Segmentation of options in the Agent profile done.
