The URL shortener is a tool designed to simplify and optimize link management on the web.

By converting long URLs into more compact and easily memorable formats, you enhance the effective dissemination of information and improve the user experience.

You can shorten URLs when, for example, you need to send an invoice payment link or distribute an email campaign to clients with a call-to-action (CTA). Subsequently, you can monitor generated metrics and make adjustments to campaigns, optimizing communication and improving the Return on Investment (ROI) of your actions.

⚠️ Attention: This functionality is available only for users with the Agent, Operator, Admin, or SysAdmin profiles.

Why shorten links

The ability to shorten URLs easily and quickly offers various benefits, including:

  • Space reduction: Reducing text size allows our clients to include more information in the message.
  • Organized appearance: Shorter URLs create a cleaner look, facilitating the understanding of the sent message.
  • Traceability: Enables companies to see how many times the link was clicked, providing valuable insights into user engagement.
  • Increased Click-Through Rate (CTR): Due to their clean and clear appearance, shortened links can result in a higher click-through rate compared to long and confusing URLs.
  • Branding: Allows inclusion of the brand name in the URL itself.

💡 Tip: You can shorten URLs both via API, for system integration, and directly within the solution. See below.

How to shorten links

  1. Click on Settings in the Zenvia Customer Cloud's side menu;
  2. Access URL shortener;
  3. Customize the desired link following the guidelines below.

URL customization

  • Original link: Insert the link you want to shorten.
  • Shortening domain: Choose the desired domain.
  • Description: Write a brief description for identification, if desired.
