The Zenvia Customer Cloud email builder allows you to quickly create visually appealing marketing messages without needing any code. You can use ready-made templates or build your email from scratch by combining content blocks and layout rows.

Before you begin

This article explains how to use the builder to create the body of your email.

Before sending emails, you must:

To learn how to fully configure your email sending, see Sending email messages in Zenvia Customer Cloud

Choose a template or start from scratch

When you start creating a new email, first enter a name and select the sender. Then, you’ll be directed to choose a template.

You can:

  • Select a pre-built template from Zenvia;
  • Use a template previously saved by your team;
  • Create a new template from scratch.

Set the email style

Right after choosing a template, define how your email should be displayed:

  • Desktop view: layout optimized for computers.
  • Mobile view: layout adjusted for smaller screens.

The width and arrangement of content will automatically adapt based on the selected format.

Add content to your email

The content of your email is built using blocks and layout rows, which you can drag and drop into the body of the message.

Insert content blocks

In the Content tab, you’ll find a list of ready-to-use blocks that can be added to your layout.

To add a block:

  1. Click and hold the desired block.
  2. Drag it to the desired spot in the email.
  3. Release to place the block.

Edit a content block

After adding a block, click on it to open the edit panel. Each block type has specific options. You can, for example, change text, images, or URLs, define color, alignment, font size, spacing, etc.

For example:

  • In a paragraph block, you can edit the text, set the font type and size, color, alignment, and spacing.

  • In a video block, you insert the video URL, set a preview image file, and adjust padding.

Add and configure rows

Rows organize content into columns. Each row can have from 1 to 3 columns.

To add a row:

  1. Go to the Rows tab.
  2. Choose a column structure (e.g., 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns).
  3. Drag and drop the row into the email body.

You can add as many rows as you want and place content blocks inside each column.

Move, remove or duplicate elements

You can easily rearrange blocks and rows. Click the element and choose an action:

  • Move: click the move icon and drag to another position.
  • Duplicate: click the duplicate icon to create an identical copy.
  • Delete: click the trash icon to remove the item.

General layout settings

In the Settings tab, you define the overall look of the email. It’s the style of the “total area.”

Options include:

  • Body width: e.g., 600px (standard for email marketing).
  • Content alignment: left or centered.
  • Overall background color and content area background color.
  • Background image (optional).
  • Default font and link color.

Undo, redo and restore versions

While creating, you can easily fix mistakes:

  • Undo: click the undo arrow (↶).
  • Redo: click the redo arrow (↷).
  • Restore previous versions: click the versions icon to see the change history and revert to an earlier version.

💡 Tip: After finishing the message body and clicking Continue, you can save the content as a template.

If you're using an existing template, you can update it with changes, save it as a new template (without changing the original), or continue without saving, keeping the changes for this send only.

If you're creating a template from scratch, you can save it as a new template or continue without saving, as needed.

Preview and test the email

Before completing the send, go to the summary step where you can:

  • Preview the full email.
  • Send a test message to your personal or team email.
  • Validate the display on different devices.
