How to integrate and use the Facebook catalog in commercial service

Send your Facebook product catalog via WhatsApp directly in your commercial support conversations.

Create your catalog

1. Go to the Commerce Manager in your Facebook Business Manager and click Add Catalog.


2. Set up the catalog and rename it with your company name (do not use the default name to avoid connection issues with Zenvia).

3. Copy and save the catalog ID, which is available in your browser’s address bar – you will need it to connect to Zenvia Customer Cloud. 


4. Add or edit items by clicking Add items or selecting existing ones.
The SKU of each item must be manually defined for the integration to work correctly.


⚠️ Attention:

You may use a catalog already created in your Facebook Business Manager with the Zenvia Customer Cloud integration. However, this is only possible if the catalog is not linked to another active store or platform.

If the catalog is already being used by another store, you will need to create a new catalog — either manually or by repeating the creation process via template or by connecting to an e-commerce.

Generate Facebook Access Token

1. Access the System-Users tab in your Facebook Manager account and click Add Assets.


2. Click on Catalog, select the one you want to connect, and enable the Full Control option.


3. Click Generate new token and enable the following permissions: 

  • ads_reads
  • catalog_management
  • ads_management


4. Press the Generate Token button and the token should be successfully created.


⚠️ Attention: If the following error appears, you need to make the app you're using for the token public.


Connect the catalog to Zenvia Customer Cloud

1. Access your Facebook Business Manager account and go to the Catalogs tab, then select the desired catalog.


2. Click on Assign Partners and select the option Business ID.


3. Enter the Zenvia (or MKMB) ID to connect:

  • Zenvia: 376868829174341
  • MKMB: 2266227900329914

4. Enable Full Control to allow access to the catalog via Zenvia Customer Cloud.


5. Zenvia should now appear as a partner in the catalog. 


Configure the Facebook Catalog app in Zenvia Customer Cloud

1. In Zenvia Customer Cloud, go to Commercial Support > Integrations and click the + button. 

2. Select Facebook Catalog. Then, choose the group that will use this catalog and click Install.


3. Enter: 

a. The Catalog ID, obtained from your Facebook Business Manager. 

b. The Access Token, generated with the necessary permissions. 


4. Save and contact Zenvia's support team for final activation. 

How to use the Facebook Catalog app

1. During a conversation, click the + icon at the bottom and select the Catalog icon.

2. Search for products by SKU code, name, brand, color, or other attributes previously registered in your Facebook catalog. 

To ensure the integration works correctly, each catalog product must have a unique and customized SKU code.
❗ Do not use the default SKU automatically generated by Facebook – it must be changed. 

How to change the SKU:
Access the catalog in Facebook Commerce Manager and click the desired item > Edit item. At the bottom, change the Content ID field to the SKU you want to use. 

Alternatively, you can import all products with a predefined SKU.


3. Filter by availability (In Stock, Out of Stock, Not Defined) and gender (Male, Female, Unisex), if desired. 

4. Select the products and click Continue.


5. Enter an optional message to accompany the catalog.


6. The customer receives the products on WhatsApp with image, name, description, and price. By clicking Show items, the customer can add products to the cart, send a selection of desired items, and/or write an optional message.
