The Zenvia Cost Calculator allows you to simulate, in just a few seconds, the impact of Meta’s new pricing rules on your WhatsApp operation. Starting October 1, 2026, service messages and utility templates sent within an open customer service window will be charged per message through the official API. Learn what’s changing, who is affected, and calculate the impact on your operation with the Zenvia Calculator.

How to fill out the calculator

To generate the comparison, enter your operation’s information by following the six steps below.

1. Define the type of operation

First, select the operation you want to simulate:

  • Outbound: when the company initiates contact with the customer, such as in campaigns and message broadcasts.

  • Inbound: when the customer initiates contact with the company, such as in customer service and requests.

The option you select determines which information will be used in the calculation.

2. Choose the template

For outbound operations, select the category of the template used in the campaign:

  • Marketing: messages containing promotional content, offers, campaigns, or advertising.

  • Utility: messages related to a customer request, transaction, or service.

  • Authentication: messages used for authentication, such as verification codes.

This information is important because the template category affects the cost calculation under the new model.

3. Enter the number of contacts

Enter the number of contacts receiving the messages.

Example: if a campaign is sent to 50,000 customers, enter 50,000 contacts.

4. Enter the response rate

Enter the percentage of contacts who respond to the campaign.

The response rate represents the percentage of customers impacted by the campaign who initiate an interaction after receiving the message.

Example: if approximately 1,000 out of 10,000 contacts respond, the response rate is 10%.

5. Enter the number of campaigns

Enter the total number of campaigns or templates sent per month.

Example: if your company runs 8 campaigns per month, enter 8.

6. Enter the number of messages sent

Enter the average number of messages sent by the company during the operation.

This information helps project the message volume used in the per-message pricing scenario.

Understanding the results

After entering the information, the calculator automatically generates a comparison between three scenarios.

Current model

This is the baseline for your operation.

This scenario provides an estimated cost based on the current model used as a reference for the simulation.

New model — Pure API

This scenario provides a projection based on the new per-message pricing model.

It helps you understand how the changes to Meta’s pricing rules may financially impact an operation that uses the API directly, without an additional cost-optimization strategy.

Best choice — Optimized operation with Zenvia Customer Cloud

This scenario presents an alternative operation using Zenvia Customer Cloud, taking into account resources that can help optimize both costs and operations.

The resources considered include:

  • Intelligent routing and handoff;

  • Channel integration;

  • Customer service journey optimization;

  • More efficient management of customer interactions.

The goal of this scenario is to help you identify a more efficient alternative for your operation under the new pricing rules.

Why compare the three scenarios?

The comparison allows you to quickly understand how the pricing changes may affect your operation and identify opportunities to optimize costs.

Instead of looking only at the impact of the new model, you can compare:

How it works today → How it may look under the new pricing model → How it can work with an operation optimized by Zenvia.

This way, the calculator helps your company make decisions based on your operation’s volume and customer behavior.

Discover the best scenario for your operation in just a few seconds

Use the Zenvia Cost Calculator to understand the impact of the new rules, compare different operating models, and identify cost optimization opportunities with Zenvia Customer Cloud.
