The SenseData Calendar allows you to view and organize your daily activities in one place. You can also sync your activities with external calendars, such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.

Who can access the Calendar?

For a user to access the Calendar, the Calendar permission must be enabled in their access profile.

To enable it:

  1. Go to Profiles.

  2. Select the profile you want to configure.

  3. In the Define Menu section, locate the Calendar option.

  4. Move the option to the enabled permissions area.

  5. Save the configuration.

Once the permission is enabled, the user can access the Calendar through the My Portfolio menu.

Viewing the Calendar

In the Calendar, you can view activities in different formats:

  • Day

  • Week

  • Month

You can also use the available filters to view a specific user's schedule, when this option is available for your profile. Activities registered in SenseData appear in the Calendar according to the dates and times defined for each activity.

Adding an activity

To add an activity through the Calendar:

  1. Click Add Activity.

  2. Fill in the activity details.

  3. Set the start date and end date.

  4. When applicable, also specify the start and end times.

  5. Save the activity.

Activities created in the Activities section can also be displayed automatically in the Calendar.

Activities without a specified time

Activities without a start and end time can be displayed as all-day events. In this case, the event will cover the period between the Start Date and End Date specified for the activity.

Example: An activity starting on October 10 and ending on October 12, with no times specified, will appear as an all-day event from October 10 through October 12.

Editing an activity through the Calendar

You can select an activity in the Calendar to view or edit its details. When available, you can also click and drag an activity to change its date or time.

To perform other actions:

  1. Select the activity.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Choose the desired action, such as editing, completing, or deleting the activity.

Syncing with external calendars

SenseData allows you to connect your calendar to external providers, such as:

  • Google Calendar

  • Microsoft Outlook

The connection is established securely through authentication with the respective provider.

How to connect your calendar

There are two ways to start the setup process:

Through the Calendar

  1. Go to the Calendar.

  2. Locate the calendar sync option.

  3. Select your preferred provider:

    • Google

    • Microsoft

  4. Click to connect your account.

  5. Authenticate with the selected provider.

  6. Authorize the requested access.

  7. Complete the setup.

Through the user menu

You can also start the connection process from the menu in the upper-right corner of the platform, when this option is available. Select your calendar provider and follow the authentication steps.

Syncing with Google Calendar

When you connect a Google account, SenseData can sync activities according to the rules configured for the integration. Syncing applies to activities created after the connection is established. Activities created before the connection are not synced retroactively.

Syncing with Microsoft Outlook

The same process is available for Microsoft accounts:

  1. Select Microsoft as the provider.

  2. Sign in with your account.

  3. Authorize the requested access.

  4. Complete the connection.

Once connected, syncing will follow the rules defined for the integration.

All-day events

Activities without a start and end time are treated as all-day events when syncing with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.

The event period is based on:

Activity Start Date → Activity End Date

This ensures that activities without a specific time are also represented correctly in the external calendar.

Important

  • Syncing does not automatically retrieve activities created before the connection.

  • Activities without specified times may be represented as all-day events.

  • Syncing availability and options may vary depending on the connected provider and your account settings.

  • To use syncing, you must authorize access to the account of your selected calendar provider.
