To run ads with a click to WhatsApp, it is necessary to connect your Facebook Page to WhatsApp Business.

If you receive the error message when boosting a post in Zenvia Customer Cloud: "It was not possible to create the ad. Access your Meta Business Manager and check if there is a linked WhatsApp account", follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

How to connect your Facebook Page to WhatsApp

⚠️ Attention: WhatsApp can only be linked to your business Facebook Page. This option is not available for personal profiles.

  1. Access your Facebook Page;

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. In the left menu, click on Permissions and then on Linked Accounts. Next to WhatsApp, click on View;

  4. Choose the country code and enter your WhatsApp Business phone number;

  5. Click on Send WhatsApp code and enter the confirmation code you receive;

  6. Click on Confirm.

If the error message appears "WhatsApp number linked to another business on Facebook", your number may already be connected to another business. In this case, it will be necessary to remove it from the Meta Business Manager.

How to remove a WhatsApp account in the Meta Business Manager

  1. Access the Meta Business Manager;

  1. Select the business portfolio to which the WhatsApp Business account may be linked;

  2. Click on Settings;

  3. Under Accounts, click on WhatsApp Accounts and click on the WhatsApp Business account;

  4. Click on the three dots on the right and then on Remove from business portfolio.

After removing the number, it will no longer be linked to the business portfolio. Now you can connect your page to WhatsApp through the Facebook Page.

Next steps

After successfully linking WhatsApp, return to the Ads section in Zenvia Customer Cloud and boost your posts. This way, you will be able to turn them into ads with a click to WhatsApp, facilitating the start of commercial interactions through the engagements.
